July 12th - DRIVER BLOG: ORANGE COUNTY FAIR SPEEDWAY WEEK #13

Welcome back Race Fans - Week #13 at OCFS hosted our 3rd top 10 of the season, coming across the line in 7th behind my Dad in 6th. The track wasn't very good at all, very dry and slick which resulted in absolutely no passing. I started 6th in the Atlas Paving, John Marsh Contracting J17 Bicknell and quickly got passed by my Dad, which didn't bother me any, and for the remaining 25 laps followed him. It was a good learning experience watching him race and trying to catch him - I almost did with about 5 to go then screwed up in 4 which let him get away again. Overall it was a good night, the car is still in one piece and I gained some much needed points to hopefully get me back into the top 15. This week we are going to put my engine back in the car - we had it re-built and is better than it ever - Thanks to Mike Petruska. I can't wait to feel the power and hopefully rack up another solid finish. Until next time, have a good week and I will see ya at the track... - JR
